Overview

The official Python SDK is an API-key client for Polyester ConnectRPC APIs and Centrifugo WebSocket Protobuf streams. It is built for trading bots, automated execution, and backend automation, not browser wallet login.

Python ships async (AsyncPolyester) and sync (Polyester) clients with the same service tree. Prefer async for bots with streams.

What you can build

  • Market data: overview, candles, order books, public trades, heatmap, chain analytics
  • Trading: spot orders (including batch / cancel-all), attached risk, standalone triggers
  • Accounts: balances (funding vs trading), subaccounts, policies, API keys, profile
  • Funding: deposit addresses, trading withdraws, internal transfers, lifecycle, Zipper config
  • On-chain helpers: Funding → Trading and Funding → external via the chain module
  • Realtime: public and private streams with fail-closed overflow behavior

Intentionally not in this SDK

Wallet login, session MFA enrollment/challenges, and account resolve/lookup require interactive JWT/session flows. Use the TypeScript SDK for those. SBE and FIX are separate transports, see the connectivity matrix.
