# Sounds

Control Polyester sound effects, alerts, and volume levels.

Sound settings control the audio feedback you hear while using Polyester. Turn everything on or off at once, then adjust each type of sound separately.

Open **[Audio Settings](https://testnet.polyester.com/account/settings/audio)** to choose your levels and preview the result.

## Enable audio

Turn **Enable audio** off when you want Polyester to stay silent. Your individual volume choices remain saved for the next time you turn audio on.

## Set the overall volume

Master volume controls the overall level for every Polyester sound. Start here, then fine-tune the categories underneath it.

## Adjust each category

- **Notifications** controls sounds for account and product alerts.
- **UI sounds** controls feedback from buttons and other interface actions.
- **Voice alerts** controls supported spoken updates.

Use the play button beside a category to hear its current level.

## Choose a sound pack

Sound packs change the style of supported Polyester sounds without changing which alerts you receive. Choose a pack and use the preview before keeping it.

If nothing plays, check Enable audio, Master volume, the category level, your device output, and whether the browser tab is muted.
